BANDSAW UPGRADE
Our new automatic mitre bandsaw has arrived. Made by Amada, it allows us to efficiently and accurately cut lengths of pipe, angle, etc. even at angles up to 60 degrees.

30% INCREASE IN WELDING CAPACITY:
Construction has started on 3 new welding bays so we can offer a more complete solution to customers who want to minimise the hassle of in-house welding.

NEW 4 METRE PRESS BRAKE:
During February we received our latest machine, a Trumpf 320 ton press brake with a bending length of 4 metres.

Intricate cutting of pipes and RHS has posed a challenge in the past. But with our rotary chuck laser cutting facility, a chuck rotates the material while the laser cut.

ERP PROJECT COMPLETED:We are excited to announce that the implementation of our new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is now complete.

The project required eight months of company-wide commitment which has finally resulted in a world-class solution that precisely fits the company's needs. After evaluating software from SAP, Microsoft and Oracle, the company decided on Microsoft Dynamics AX to replace the existing eight year old system which it had outgrown.

WH Williams was founded in 1948 by William Hyne Williams. An iron moulder by trade, William started manufacturing poultry equipment such as green feed cutters and water troughs. In 1950, his two sons, Bill and Harold joined the business. With further investment in machines such as guillotines, press brakes and welders, the business was then able to diversify into general sheetmetal work. Today the business is third generation Williams, with the current factory located adjacent to the original family home in Silverwater.
